Emergencies
Immediately report any disaster or incident that threatens life
or property to Public Safety (911 or
41991). For more information on emergency preparedness / emergency response

Elevator Emergencies
Report problems immediately to the Work Control Center (44754), or Public Safety
(911 or 41991). Elevator occupants may call Public Safety via the emergency
communication system inside the elevator. Occupants trapped inside elevators
should not be left unattended. University personnel may only attempt access
to elevator hoistways in the event of life-threatening emergencies.
Facility Problems
Direct urgent facility problems to the Physical Plant Work Control Center (44754).
Hazardous Materials
For hazardous chemical or radioactive material spills, or any problem involving
asbestos, immediately notify Environmental
Health & Safety (46778) and Physical
Plant (44754). To dispose of chemicals, contact Environmental Health &
Safety (46778).
Residence Hall Emergencies
Students should report emergencies to their hall's front desk. If their hall's front desk isn't open, they should still call their hall's front desk. From there, their call will automatically be forwarded to another front desk that is open.
