A cost recovery system is used for work that is not classified as maintenance. Cost recovery is also applied to all work (both maintenance and non-maintenance) accomplished for auxiliaries and other agencies not funded through the general fund. Hourly rates for cost recovery projects are calculated by the Office of Budget & Planning to permit recovery of actual labor and material costs.
